Rick and I always love coming to the St. Ives Country Club Wedding Venue for a romantic summer wedding!  The outdoor ceremony space for St. Ives overlooks the golf course and the garden.  It’s the perfect spot for a classic luxury wedding just north of Atlanta!

Our bride, Kelsey is one of the sweetest ladies you’ll ever meet!  It’s only fitting that she’s a nurse; in my opinion, nurses are some of the kindest people you’ll ever meet and they have the hardest jobs!  She and her sweet new husband, Mitchell were just a dream to work with!

The ladies spent the morning getting ready at the Hilton Atlanta Northeast.  As soon as we pulled up, Rick and I were reminiscing about our very own wedding day…  This is the same hotel we got ready at and that our out of town family stayed in!  We knew right off the bat, that today was going to be a God-blessed day!

Kelsey and her 10 gorgeous bridesmaids were absolutely glowing in their floral bridesmaids robes!

Kelsey was stunning in her fitted mermaid lace gown with a romantic open back!  Her rose gold and navy bridesmaids dresses were a dream, too!  Speaking of rose gold, check out the garden roses in these romantic bridal bouquets!!!

Groom & Groomsmen

The men spent the afternoon getting ready for the wedding in the St. Ives Country Club board room.  Our groom, Mitchell and his groomsmen were pretty dapper in their Navy suits and real bow-ties!

Wedding Vows

Kelsey and Mitchell did not want to see each other before the ceremony, but they did want a moment to read each other their vows.  What you can’t see is mom outside in the hallway, shedding a few tears as she listens in.  How sweet!

Outdoor Summer Ceremony

It was an 90% chance of rain for the ceremony and the radar showed a huge storm headed our way.  But this family is the praying kind!  Her sweet dad, Rick prayed over this day over and over again and he stood on the property and asked God to stop the rain – and can I tell you that not a single drop of rain fell on us at all, all day!!!  It was absolutely perfect!

Finally, our favorite part of the day!  Our time spent with Kelsey and Mitchell creating the portraits that will grace their walls, their heirloom wedding album, and their family’s mantles for years to come, is our favorite part of the day!  These two were so amazing to work with; this was the first time we had them together in front of our cameras and you’d never know it!  That’s right, we actually met Kelsey and Mitchell for the first time face to face on their wedding day!  There’s something about the joy of a wedding day that makes a couple so easy to photograph!

The party starts when DJTOD shows up!!!  What wedding isn’t complete without everyone on the dance floor, having your guests serenade you at dinner, and of course, the bride and groom game (shoe game)!  If you want your guests to remember your wedding reception for years to come – DJTOD!!!  We know, because he was our wedding DJ, too!  Just look at the smiles on everyone’s faces…
