September in Georgia is a perfect time to get married! We especially love Dahlonega and Dawsonville this time of year! Which is why I love that Jessica and Kyle had their ceremony at Church of the Apostles in Dawsonville! This was my second time shooting a wedding at COTA, it was so nice to be back and to have the pleasure of working with their coordinator, Penny again! Jessica arrived with her hair and makeup already done and beautifully I might add! Jess started the day off with her best friend and was also joined by her sisters, all whom stood by her side as her bridesmaids. What a great group these girls were! I’m in love with her lace gown! Who doesn’t love lace on a wedding day?!! Oh, and Kyle’s bunch was a hoot! Did I just say “hoot”? I did! They kept me laughing during their groomsmen portraits. They had a beautiful ceremony in front of COTA’s cathedral windows-these things are stunning! This was the first time I had ever seen a Christian Rope Braiding Ceremony! I love it when the couples pick something different than the candle or sand ceremony-those are just great and also have strong and powerful messages, but the “Chord of three strands is not easily broken”!

As soon as the ceremony was over, everyone headed over to the reception at The Venue at Farris, where the ceiling was draped in icicle lights and the dance floor was open for fun! When it was all over, Jess and Kyle were finally Mr. & Mrs. and they headed off for their Disney Cruise to celebrate the beginning of their new journey together! Congratulations Jess & Kyle. May the Lord always cover you in a hedge of protection and may he always light your path.
