Dunaway Gardens Wedding Venue Pictures | Tannah+Jonathan
I can’t believe just 2.5 weeks ago we were photographing this gorgeous Dunaway Gardens Wedding – with almost spring like weather and everything was still so green! As I sit inside my warm home (it’s currently in the 40’s outside) finishing up this gallery for our Bride and Groom, I can’t believe the 2017 wedding season is wrapping up! Where did this year go?!!
When you pull up to the Dunaway Gardens Wedding Venue, your heart will do a little happy dance as you see all the beautiful lush green gardens. This place is a wedding photographers dream! We began the morning at the bridal cottage on site; this adorable little house is the perfect place for the bride and her bridal party to spend the morning getting ready!
I have to take a moment to give God some praise… just shortly after arriving, giving out hugs, and introducing ourselves to all of the bridesmaids, we got started with photographing the details. When we asked our bride for the wedding rings, she explained she hadn’t slept that night because she couldn’t find them! She had not seen them in a couple of days and was obviously upset. Well, here is where it is my job to keep our bride calm! I jumped in and asked if she minded if we prayed with her. We all gathered around and took a moment to hold hands as I asked God to bless this marriage and give us the favor of revealing the rings’ location to us and getting them to the wedding on time. I then spoke from my heart and reminded Tannah that those rings are replaceable but what really mattered was at the end of the day she would be married to her best friend and they would eventually find this story a funny one to tell. We then resumed getting the girls ready to get in their dresses…
Some time later there was a good bit of commotion and excitement going on when Tannah said “they found the rings”!!! Her friend had stopped by her work and found them in her office!!! The mother of the bride, Marci and I hugged in excitement and I’m pretty sure everyone cried a little – even me!!! Thank you, Lord!!! Everything else that morning after that moment was just icing on the cake (wedding cake, that is)!
Tannah and Jonathan opted to have a first look so that they could spend some quality time together before all of the hustle and bustle of a wedding day. The way our groom, Jonathan looks at his new wife is just dreamy! His smile on his face when he sees her for the first time in her white wedding gown says it all! You can tell by the way these two interact that they are definitely soulmates! We’re so thankful we get to play a small part in their big day!
Tannah and Jonathan had a choice of multiple locations to have their ceremony; a hard decision based on all of the beautiful options! The bride and groom exchanged their vows in the middle of the woods at the “hanging gardens” – where there are multiple levels of earth, beautiful stone stairways, and lush greenery all around! It truly was like a secret garden wedding! After these two officially said “I do”, everyone laughed at the best toasts ever, mingled over amazing food and good drinks, and then they danced the night away under the stars with the best outdoor reception ever! Every little detail came together for Tannah and Jonathan’s perfect outdoor wedding.
Tannah & Jonathan, we are so happy for you both and excited for this next phase in your lives together! We pray you are both blessed tremendously and have a life you’ve always dreamed of! Thank you for trusting Rick and I with your big day! We were honored to be there along side you both!
