The Georgian Terrace Wedding Pictures | Atlanta Wedding Photographers
This stunning Georgian Terrace Wedding in downtown Atlanta is one that I’m sure our couple, their family, and their friends will never forget! Every thoughtful little detail from the gold bridesmaids dresses, to the hints of purple accents, and gorgeous floral design, had us “ooohing and aaahhhing” everywhere we looked!
Our beautiful bride, Lauren and her dearest of friends spent the morning getting ready together at The Georgian Terrace Hotel. This is a perfect Atlanta Wedding Venue for anyone who has family flying in from anywhere in the world; your guests can stay at the hotel, there’s so much to do and eat within walking distance (its across from the Fox Theatre), and then there’s the beautiful ballroom space for the big day!!! Speaking of travel, our bride and groom had family from Germany, Poland, and more! What a fun day and group of people!!!
Lauren chose to have her sweet mom help her get into her dress and reveal her final look to her bridesmaids once she was all ready. I always love getting to see the reaction on the faces of our brides best friends!!! What a special moment I have the privilege of being a small part of!
I’m pretty sure our groom, Viktor is a GQ Model who’s too shy to admit it… just look at what a handsome groom he is in his black suit! Here’s a guy who knows how to dress – or maybe he has a wife with a great eye 😉 ?! Let’s take a minute to talk about Viktor’s groomsman and how they were so fun and full of life – you could really tell they all had a special bond.
Who doesn’t love a group of sharp-dressed men or beautiful ladies in gold sequin gowns?! I love how a black tuxedo or suit makes a wedding so luxurious and yet classic, too.
Our beautiful bride and her dearest friends each in coordinating gold sequin bridesmaids dresses; I LOVED this look! Those gorgeous bouquets have everything a girl wants – eucalyptus greenery, lush whites, hints of her theme color (purple), and succulents!!! I hope the greenery and succulent trend in weddings never fades! Those gorgeous flowers, by the way, are by the fabulously talented Brides & Blooms.
As with many of our weddings from the 2018 season, it began to rain… so we moved inside. There have been more rainy wedding days this year than we have had in the total years of our business! Crazy, huh? Not that it matters… we keep moving, keep our couple calm, keep creating art, and at the end of the day our couple is still happily married and had the time of their lives!
Lauren absolutely rocked her bridal portraits inside the Georgian Terrace Hotel. First of all, there are spiraling marble staircases that go down every floor; we could shoot here all day! Just look at how stunning she is in her all lace fitted wedding gown. This dress was made for Lauren!
Finally, I get to show off what you all know by now to be our favorite part of the day… The Bride & Groom Portraits! When we left the church it was raining; we out-drove the storm by a few minutes and got right to work when we arrived back at The Georgian Terrace.
These newlyweds were ROCKSTARS!!! The wind was blowing like crazy, there was a dark ominous cloud headed our way, and they were still full of JOY! We moved as fast as we could through these portraits and I’m pretty sure we took them all in less than 7 minutes – before we were making a mad dash running for the door trying to avoid getting wet! Ha, I just have to laugh… it was truly a blessing that we had that small window of time to get the outdoor images I know they will cherish forever!
One of our favorite things to photograph on a wedding day are the details. There is nothing more stunning than lush floral displays, beautiful place settings, gorgeous glassware, and of course, the cake – it all comes together in a large classic ballroom to pull off a flawless luxury look!
I think everyone’s favorite part of the wedding day is the Reception! This is when the couple gets to relax, enjoy their guests, eat amazing food, and dance the night away. Who doesn’t love a good dance party? … it’s my second favorite part of the day! We had an amazing time celebrating alongside Lauren and Viktor; we get to witness the most monumental day of their lives together AND document it all for them as it unfolds… what more could we ask for?!
