How has it already been six months since our bride and groom’s dreamy romantic engagement session?!! Spring is in full swing and we have had some amazing weddings to kick off our photography season!

We first met Kelly and Eli at a wedding show and we’ve loved them ever since!  These two have been friends since 2014; they both have hearts of gold, are sweet in spirit, share the same core values, and they’re just smitten for each other!  Why it took Eli so long to make the first move (a kiss on New Years 2016/17), we may never know!  But we do know that he’s a romanic…

The Engagement Proposal

One afternoon Eli took Kelly on a picnic date where he had a special surprise waiting for her.  He sat her down, handed her a scrapbook he had made that contained pictures from their entire relationship (how sweet!) and when she was done flipping through it, he got down on one knee and handed her a GORGEOUS Diamond engagement ring.  He asked her to be his wife and of course, she said “YES”!!!  Just moments after, their families came out of hiding – who had gotten the whole thing on video – and they joined them in celebrating their engagement!

Wedding Day at The Hill, Athens

We started the day at the A&D AirBnB house where our bride and her bridesmaids were having so much fun getting ready  – and dancing while they did it!  This group of ladies was a blast to hang out with for the day!!!  Rick got his share of fun with the groom and his groomsmen, too!  We just KNEW that the reception was going to be an epic dance party – and it was!  But first there was the beautifully sweet ceremony in the sunken garden…

Kelly and Eli chose to be traditional and see each other once she walked down the aisle – and it was so sweet!  Eli locked eyes on his bride and he never looked away!  Mom shed a few tears as dad gave his daughter away, and again when Kelly gave her vows to Eli.  There’s just something special about a mothers love and wedding days that makes my heart melt!  Once our bride and groom shared in communion, vowed their selves to each other, and exchanged rings, it was time for the kiss…  It started raining on them just in time for the kiss – a sure sign of good luck, if you believe in it 🙂  These two don’t need luck though, they have this amazing faith in their Great God and I just know they’re going to do amazing things together!  Rick and I are so thankful for these two and will continue to pray that God leads them, covers them in a hedge of protection, and fills their marriage with Joy all the days of their lives!
