Winter Wedding Pictures at Yonah Mountain Vineyard | Ashlyn+Avery
It is always an honor to kick-off the wedding season at Yonah Mountain Vineyards and even more joyful when you have such an amazing couple! Ashlyn and Avery met at Berry College and were in love in no time at all! These two are kind, joyful, and genuine! Check out their engagement session from campus in the fall where I first got to know them and both of their wonderful moms!

The bride spent the morning getting ready with her gorgeous bridesmaids at a cabin then headed on over to the bridal suite to put the final touches on and slip into their dresses. Ashlyn chose to have just her mom, Bethany, get her into her bridal gown so that she could share that moment with her and follow it up with a bridesmaids reveal.
David’s sweet reaction to seeing his little girl as a bride was absolutely priceless! This family is so close and you could just feel the love in the room. As a matter of fact, both sides of the family are close! We had a reveal with the groom’s parents, Jarrett and Tricia, as well and they melted my heart, too!
This gorgeous group of girls gave the BEST first look reactions! After the bride and groom first look, a bridesmaid reveal may be my next favorite part of the day! Just look at those faces and how much fun they had in this moment!
Avery’s dad, Jarrett helped him get into his suit for the big moment while his groomsmen also got ready for the day. This entire wedding party was such a wonderful (and easy) group to work with! After the jacket was buttoned and the boutonniere was pinned, it was time to set Avery up for his first look at his bride-to-be!
If you’ve been following Five Fourteen long, you know a First Look is my favorite part of the day! When a couple chooses to have a reveal before the ceremony, it’s the only time during the day that they will truly just be alone to enjoy each other. After the first look, we give them a few moments to just enjoy each other and be themselves before we roll into portraits. These two did just that! When Avery took off his glasses to rest his head on Ashlyn’s shoulder, you could just tell he felt “at home”. It was a precious moment I was blessed to witness!
My next favorite part of the day! The bride and groom portraits are the ones that will be framed on their mantles, canvased on their walls, and placed in their album. These are the images that they and their families will cherish for the rest of their lives! As you look at these you will see it was a bright sun-shiny day! After what seemed like weeks of rain (especially on the weekends), we praised God for such favor! There wasn’t a cloud in the sky!
First, I must say: based on these first images, I feel like all bouquets now need to have streamers! Epting Events did a fabulous job on the florals, as they always do! I know I’ve already said it once, but this group was so easy and wonderful to work with! Not only did they photograph well for portraits, but they also kept the dance floor packed all night!
The day before at the rehearsal was probably the windiest day I’d ever encountered in Georgia! We stood on this exact spot and all of us nearly got blown over! The day of the wedding – FAVOR! It was a gorgeous day with zero wind and the first day all year that we could actually take our jackets off! There is no doubt that God was showering his love on Ashlyn and Avery on the top of the mountain that afternoon! Ashlyn and Avery shared their vows and exchanged the rings in front of their loved ones with the best view in all of North Georgia. The two are officially one and together they can conquer anything!
Now it’s officially time to celebrate! The newlyweds were announced as they made their way down the grand staircase in a room decorated by the amazing staff at Epting Events. They shared their first dance and there was no denying the joy they felt just by the look on their faces! We laughed, we cried, we had so much fun!
Ashlyn and Avery, I can’t thank you enough for trusting Five Fourteen with your big day! Between the engagement, rehearsal, and the wedding, I truly feel like a part of your family now! It is my joy to pray that you and your families are blessed with joy always, that you’re covered in a hedge of protection wherever you go, and that all of your dreams are full of favor from above! I can’t wait to watch where life brings you two and hope to celebrate all your big moments, in photos, with you all for many years to come!
