Flint Hill Wedding Pictures | Norcross Wedding Photographers | Erin+Christopher
This colorful Flint Hill Wedding in Norcross couldn’t have been more perfectly orchestrated. We first met Erin and Christopher at our favorite Bridal Show in Duluth, GA over a year ago! They were smitten and we fell in love with them! It wasn’t long before we were planning their fall engagement session and talking over the details for their Flint Hill Wedding in Norcross.
We spent the morning with the bride and her bridesmaids getting ready at the Atlanta Mariott Peachtree Hotel. Pay attention future brides – if given the option, always choose to have a large suite like this one to get ready in! I’m so in love with Erin’s getting ready images and a large clean and modern room helps to elevate them!
Our bride’s sweet sister and also Maid of Honor, Caitlin, looks on in excitement as her beautiful sister get pampered…
Erin chose to have her sister, her mom, and her soon to be husband’s mom to help her get dressed and completing this sweet moment in time with a bridesmaids reveal. None of her bridesmaids had ever seen her dress until she was wearing it – their reaction is priceless and one of the reasons I LOVE capturing a bridesmaid reveal!
Erin makes an absolutely stunning bride who glows on the outside and shines on the inside…
Rick met up with the guys at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Atlanta before the ceremony. Our groom, Christoper, was constantly making sure everything about this day was perfect for his bride-to-be. He’s amazingly kind, extremely smart, and a selfless serving husband to his new wife – what more could a lady ask for?!
Our bride’s father, David, has the most charming English accent; but even more amazing than that is how sweet his reaction to seeing his daughter all dressed up as a bride! Melt my heart…
The sanctity of marriage and the ceremony of the mass is a sacred moment where the two souls pledge their lives to each other before God, the priest, and their loved ones. As Erin and Christopher exchanged rings, worshipped in prayer, and vowed in sickness and in health to serve each other whole-heartedly, my heart was reminded of how blessed we are to have companionship in this world. Proverbs 18:22 He who finds a wife finds a good thing,
And obtains favor from the Lord.
Now on to the photographers favorite part of the day… pictures! Ha. Actually, I have so many favorite parts of a wedding day; but it’s the formal portraits that I know will most often get shared, printed, and cherished for lifetimes to come. Which is why I always enjoy creating these for our couples!
This wedding party was such a joy to work with! I feel like this day kicked off Fall wedding season; our newlywed’s choice of bright and bold colors was a welcomed and delightful change from our summer season.
If you’ve been reading my blog long, you know that this truly is my #1 most favorite part of the day! The time we get to spend with just the bride and groom I feel like is the most important part of the day. It’s also the only part of the day where the couple has a few moments to just each-other as they get to express their joy and love as we capture it from a distance. Speaking of joy and love, there is no shortage here…
After leaving the church we headed on over to Flint Hill Wedding Venue for more pictures! That’s right, my super amazing planner (ah-hem, the Groom!) made sure we had plenty of time for pictures at both venues! Chris, you’re hired! 🙂
Ok, so we were looking forward to this wedding probably more than any other this year; not because any one of our couples is more special than the other, but because Rick and I also were married at Flint Hill! We couldn’t wait to get Erin and Chris out here and create gorgeous portraits for them all while also being reminded of our own love for each other. If you’re looking for an amazing venue with a top-notch staff and 5-star cuisine, look no further!
Goodness! Just look at how happy these two are…
Finally, it’s party time! I would say this is hands-down the family and guests favorite part of the day. Who doesn’t love a time to come together, get dressed up, dance, celebrate, drink wine and eat amazing meals?! Count us in!
Oh, hey… did we mention rain? As I tell all my brides on their wedding day: Let us do the stressing! So what if it rains; they’re still smiling, right?! Hey, Mr. & Mrs. Dreybus… you guys make that umbrella look good! 🙂
To say everyone danced the night away is an absolute understatement! Thanks to the party aficionado, Lou, over at SE Events, the dance floor was never empty!
“Hey, can we take a picture with everybody”… “You bet ‘cha”!!! Thanks to Flint Hill for allowing me on the roof for this one! 🙂
Well, I guess if the night HAS to end, it mind as well be while you’re being cheered on by all of your family and friends! I like to think of the grand exit as the grand entrance into the rest of your lives together. You have everyone you love cheering you on, blowing party bubbles at you, as you walk down that pathway and hop into your “getaway” car… but really it’s symbolic of transporting you from a life where you were individuals to a life where the two have officially become One. Erin and Christopher, we are honored and humbled that you chose us to celebrate alongside of you on the most important day of your lives thus far. Thank you! We pray your marriage will always be full of joy, that you will have many great adventures togehter, and that God always blesses you with the desires of your hearts. Congratulations!
