Grant Hill Farms Wedding Pictures | Wedding Photographers in Commerce, GA | Meghan & Alex
This Grant Hill Farms Wedding in Commerce, GA may have been our windy-est wedding to date! But my-oh-my was it absolutely stunning with romantic white and greenery bouquets, groomsmen in navy suits, and bridesmaids in a dusty blue! Our bride and groom’s wedding color palette was the perfect accent to our favorite North Georgia Barn Venue!
When we first arrived in the bridal suite where all of these gorgeous ladies were getting ready for the big day, I’m pretty sure my jaw dropped when I saw Meghan’s wedding dress! This bridal gown is simply stunning with its layered cathedral length train, open back, and romantic spaghetti straps! It fit our bride like a glove!
Meghan chose to have just her mom and her sister help her get dressed; I love it when our brides chose this option! For one, it makes the moment so much more intimate (and memorable) with the family she’s so dear to. It then gives her the opportunity to have a bridesmaid reveal to the ladies who even though they may have seen the dress, they’ve never seen the complete look. Just look at their priceless reaction below… !!!
Now, doesn’t our groom, Alex, just look so handsome in his navy suit?! These guys were just amazing!
Oh, be still my heart! If you don’t already know, we LOVE when our couples opt for the First Look! The images of our groom’s face when he first sees his soon-to-be wife for the first time as a bride – are absolutely priceless!
After their super sweet First Look, we had plenty of time for these romantic portraits of just the two of them! I’m not going to lie, it was as WINDY as it could be! Even as cold as it was, Meghan and Alex absolutely knocked their portraits out of the park! I just can’t even pick a favorite, you guys!
Though I don’t really claim a favorite color, I find myself “ooohing” and “ahhhing” over navy and shades of blue! I mean just look at this bridal party…
So here’s where the day gets interesting and God shows up… Along with the wind, some pretty ominous looking clouds rolled in just as all of the guests took their seats and then it began to drizzle. It was a light rain, however – no big deal, honestly! Our groom took his place and as everyone stood and turned towards the back door of Grant Hill Farms Barn, the sun shined brighter than it has all Fall and a beautiful beam of bright sunlight shined directly onto our bride as she began her walk up the aisle. It was truly magical – I’m not sure I’ll ever forget it!
As the sun shined and the light rain fell, Megan and Alex promised to love through the thick and the thin, they exchanged their rings, and in front of their dearest family and friends, shared their first kiss as husband and wife. It was beautiful!
Can you see how it’s sprinkling with the sun shining?! God is so soo good!
Party time! With some great food, amazing sweets, hilarious speeches, and unforgettable dancing, the newlyweds celebrated the night away! Rick and I were truly honored to be a part of such a wonderful wedding day! Meghan and Alex, we pray you will be blessed abundantly no matter where your travels take you, always full of love and joy, and have a long lifetime of fun, adventure, great workouts, and even better sweet treats (these two love to workout together, Meghan is a runner and the biggest fan of sweets)! We love ya’ll!!!
