We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again… we would re-live this UGA State Botanical Gardens Wedding with our bride and groom all over again!!!  They have got to be the sweetest, kindest, most thoughtful and genuine couple we’ve ever had the pleasure of serving!  Not that any of our couples have been short of amazing, but there is just something special about Lauren and Emmett!

Getting Ready

We started the morning off with the ladies at Lauren and Emmett’s home in Athens, Georgia.  While Lauren’s multi-talented friend worked on her beautiful hair, I couldn’t help but sense that Lauren was a little nervous.  I was surprised, actually – for one, no need to be nervous when your soon to be new hubby is as amazing as Emmett is; two, if you knew Lauren in the work world, you would know she means business and is a pretty tough cookie.  But on your wedding day when everything finally starts coming together after months and months of planning, the butterflies almost always hit… and it’s a beautiful thing!  I think so, at least 🙂

 

Thankfully, she has some pretty amazing girlfriends that knew just how to make her laugh!  Speaking of pretty amazing, check out their reaction when they see Lauren as a bride for the first time… !!!

After Lauren opened up her sweet letter from her soon to be husband, we headed over to the guy’s suite to capture them before heading to the venue.

The First Look

These two chose to have a First Look and we’re always glad when our couples do! Emmett’s reaction when he sees his bride in all white is priceless!

After their intimate first look, we walked the gardens and just had a great time photographing these two!  Even though Lauren and Emmett are laid back and know how to make each other laugh, their sweet and romantic, too.

The vows were said, the rings were exchanged, and quite a few tears were shed in the garden gazebo for their intimate outdoor fall ceremony.  Just look at the smiles on their faces!!! Pure Joy, ya’ll!!!

The Reception

Finally, it’s party time for the newlyweds and their closest family and friends! What a fun night with a great group of people!  The dancing, drinks, food, and bundt cakes totally completed the perfect evening!   Lauren and Emmett, thank you for trusting us with your big day and making us feel like part of your family!  We love ya’ll and pray for huge blessings over your marriage always!
