Wolf Mountain Vineyards Wedding Pictures | Sam + Michael
If I could’ve ever imagined booking, planning, and photographing a full wedding in less than 5 days over a year ago, I would’ve asked “Why?!!”! But if the pandemic has taught the wedding world anything, it’s that anything can happen! This gorgeous and incredibly kind bride, Sam, called me on Monday in a panic – her photographer had no choice but to cancel on her last minute and couldn’t find a replacement. Quarantine is necessary and yet, so is having “Friendors” (friends in the same vendor field as you), for this very reason! But no judgements here – because Sam and her groom, Michael, had one of the most popular dates of the year.
When she called explaining her situation, my first reaction was to calm her down and assure her that if I couldn’t help her, I would find her someone who could! I hung up the phone with her and got to work… you see, I had the date blocked off for other plans and finding an associate who was also available to work alongside me on such short notice would be a challenge, too. I rearranged my weekend and started contacting my “friendors” right away! My right-hand girl and usual associate was going to be watching her daughter’s ballet recital but my dear friend gave me the name of her associate and he came to the rescue! Having never met the bride, groom, or my for-the-day second photographer before, I’d say we sure did make the magic happen! And that my friends, is what happens when you’re gifted by God and know Who gets the glory!!!
We started out the morning at the bridal cottage on site; Wolf Mountain Vineyard Wedding Venue has everything you need for your big day! Including VRBO/AirBnB rentals! We were instantly greeted with the most cheerful group of ladies! Sam and her bridesmaids are both beautiful and incredibly sweet – such a joy to be around! Oh, and I can not forget to mention Sam’s Mom, Lisa, and her incredible personality; from tears to laughter – her love for her daughter’s was present wherever she was!
My associate, Stephen, met up with the groom, Michael, and his groomsmen at the VRBO just minutes from the vineyard. As you can see, they were having a great time prepping for the big day! I must add that this group of men looked so handsome in their suits when they came walking up to the venue! Us photographers just love to see sharp-dressed men!
The wedding ceremony pavilion at Wolf Mountain Vineyards is the cutest open-air pavilion with gorgeous views of the mountains and sunset (depending on the timing of your ceremony). As Sam walked up the aisle with her dad, Jeffrey, she and Michael locked eyes, and then begin to pledge their devotion to one anther. It was a sweet ceremony full of joy, surrounded by their loved ones, and decorated so romantically (La Petite Fluer).
My favorite part of the day is always the time I get to spend with just the bride and groom creating the images that will grace the walls of their homes for the lifetime ahead of them! Sam and Michael were such naturals in front of the camera that I had trouble picking favorite images and choosing between the color versions or the black and white ones (all of my couples get both options of every image)! These newlyweds have such a deep connection between each other that is so evident just by being around them. It was truly such an honor to get to step in and celebrate alongside of them on the biggest day of their lives yet! (…keep scrolling for their sunset images)
If you are planning your wedding at Wolf Mountain Vineyards, go ahead and make plans to both party and FEAST! Wolf Mountain is famous in North Georgia for their wine (of course), Sunday brunch and just as famous for their wedding spread, too! After dinner, toasts, and cake, everyone danced the night away to tunes provided by local favorites Spectrum Entertainment DJ’s.
What an honor it was to be the person who got to freeze this day in time for such a joyful couple! I have to give a special thank you to Lindsey at Wolf Mountain for all of her help and a shout-out to Stephen for coming to the rescue and working alongside of me to make this day complete for Sam and Michael. It was truly a perfect day full of favor from above! Thank you Mr. & Mrs. Elkik, for trusting us with your big day on such short notice! May God fill you both with an abundance of Joy for the rest of your lives and bless your marriage beyond your wildest dreams!!! Congratulations, again!!!
